Operation Tatar received the Jury’s Choice Prize at the 15th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (PiFan) in South Korea.

It was also selected among the top ten Asian films at the 13th Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy, and was reviewed in Variety.

Sources differ on the release date: the official account gives 2011, while film databases record a Mongolian release in October 2010 with the international festival run following in 2011.
